NOTHING SACRED - Let Us Pray (Arkeyn Steel Records)

From Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Nothing Sacred delivered a crushing mix of Power and Speed Metal back on the 80s. Arkeyn Steel Records re-releases their -both out of print- "Deathwish" (MLP - 1985) and "Let Us Prey" (LP - 1988) on one CD. The three tracks that the band recorded for their never released second LP ("Nemesis" 1989) are included as bonus together with a selection of live tracks that re present the band's raw power.

Nothing Sacred combined Speed and Power Metal with many Thrashy elements. However I would not call them a pure Thrash band. Their music is much more complex and melodic than your everyday Thrash pick. What I really liked on their stuff is that they were always approaching their music more technically with loosing neither melody or power. They would even remind me -the faster parts of- Taramis. Bring into your mind bands like Abattoir and / or Defiance and you would get quite into the vibe of Nothing Sacred.

So here is some Metal to bang your head at. Re-mastered by the band, packed with many photos, lyrics and info. The original front cover by Joe Petagno (Motorhead, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Nazareth, Sweet) has been used on this re released edition. So if you are aware of this record "visually" you would not miss it. And you would better not.
