I remember that when I have first heard the debut album -The Weight Of The World out 2006 on Rivel records, check it out- by those Swedish Progressive / Power / Doomsters (!) I was totally shocked. I mean real shock. They somehow have reminded me one of my favorite Doom Metal bands, Veni Domine but 7Days music was a little bit more complex and more into Prog/Power Metal with some symphonic touches. Anyway this debut is still in the general list of my favorite albums and I have to say that the arrival of their second release made another entry in this list.

The band still delivers a magnificent mix of Progressive / Power and Doom Metal enforced with dark musical touches and atmospheres. There is a great job that is done in the guitar part of the album both in the main riffs and in the lead melodies / solos. The atmospheric fillings or the beautiful lead themes of keyboards have been put carefully into selected specific parts of the songs and above all is of course the mighty voices of Thomas Vikström -the one and only- and Christian Liljegren -Narnia, Wisdom Call etc-, indeed: great vocals on great melodic lines both by the main singers and by the guest female vocalists. Well this record is dark and melancholic meanwhile epic and majestic, yes this is the real big and unique feature of this band: they manage to make this mix without sounding boring. It is a fact that they are delivering some real great and inspired pieces of music.

Χάλαρα μέσα στη λίστα μου με τα άλμπουμ της χρονιάς toy 2010, το δεύτερο αριστούργημα των Σουηδών, που έχω τις βάσεις τους στο Doom και το Power Metal, περνούν από Progressive μονοπάτια με μοναδική μαεστρία, είναι βιρτουόζοι, έχουν όμορφες ατμόσφαιρες και τραγούδια που τα λες εμπνευσμένα χωρίς να το σκεφτείς. Βέβαια αρκεί και μόνο να αναφέρω την φωνάρα του θεού Thomas Vikström που στολίζει τον δίσκο και έτσι αρκετοί από εμάς απλά θα σπεύσουν με τα τέσσερα να αγοράσουν το άλμπουμ χωρίς πολλά, πολλά.. Υπάρχει και άλλος θεούλης, ο πολύς Christian Liljegren -από Narnia, Wisdom Call κτλ- και κάποιες κορασίδες που κοσμούν με την φωνή τους το όλο δισκάκι.

Το άλμπουμ διακατέχεται από μια σκοτεινή και ταξιδιάρικη ατμόσφαιρα την οποία την λες μελαγχολική δεν την λες όμως μίζερη και κλαψιάρικη και αυτό γιατί ολόκληρος ο δίσκος είναι χτισμένος σε λυρικές και πομπώδες βάσεις. Υπάρχει φοβερή κιθαρισιτκή δουλειά στα riffs και στα leads, υπάρχουν όμορφα πλήκτρα που είτε χρωματίζουν με πλάτες είτε κάνουν βιρτουόζικα παιχνιδάκια. Γενικά σε όλο το άλμπουμ υπάρχει διάσπαρτη αυτή η Σουηδίλα που κάνει ακόμα και το σκοτάδι να δείχνει λαμπερό και να ακούγεται κρυστάλλινο και καθαρό.
